Squishies Privacy Policy
Effective date: 4 October 2026 Last updated: 4 October 2026
The short version
- Squishies is a game for children and their families. The game itself is built to collect nothing about your child. The advert companies that show the ads may receive a small amount of technical data from the device (section 4), and we say exactly what we know about that.
- There are no accounts, no names, no email addresses, no photos, no location, no microphone, no contacts and no chat.
- The game saves progress (coins, squishies, levels) on your device only. We cannot see it.
- The game shows some adverts. They are set up for children: no personalised ads and no tracking for advertising. Showing an advert still needs a connection to the ad company's servers, so the ad companies may receive limited technical data (section 4).
- Real-money purchases are handled by Apple or Google. We never see payment details.
- A parent can delete all game data from inside the app, and you can contact us any time.
The rest of this page explains each point in more detail.
1. Who we are
Squishies ("the game", "the app") is published by:
- Company or developer name: Zero & One FZCO (the publisher, shown in the app stores), managed in full by NTAM GLOBAL S.L.
- Postal address: Sobha Ivory Tower 1, Office 603, Business Bay, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Managing company: NTAM GLOBAL S.L., Plaza Europa, 9, Planta 15, Puerta D, 08908 L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona, Spain
- Contact email: games@ntam.es
In this policy "we", "us" and "our" mean the publisher above.
2. Who this policy is for
The game is made for children under 13 and for families to enjoy together. We wrote this policy so a parent or guardian can read it. If you are a parent, please read it before your child plays. If you are a child, ask a grown-up to read it with you.
3. What the game collects
About your child: nothing. The game does not ask for, and we do not receive, your child's name, age, birthday, email address, phone number, address, photos, voice, location, contacts, or any account or login.
Saved on the device only. To remember where your child is in the game, the app saves a small file on the phone or tablet. It contains things like:
- the levels cleared and the number of coins
- which squishies and upgrades are unlocked
- settings such as music, sound effects and vibration
- the state of the daily reward and the missions
- which purchases have been made on this device (so a purchase is never delivered twice)
- a few counters that keep the game fair (for example how many reward videos were watched today)
This file stays on the device. It is not sent to us or to any server run by us. We have no way to see it.
No analytics or crash reporting of our own. Version 1 of the game does not include any analytics or crash reporting tool of ours that sends information about how the game is used to us. The advert service (section 4) and the store (section 5) are separate services built into the game. They receive the technical data they need to do their job, as described in their own privacy policies, which are linked in section 10.
Backups. Your phone or tablet may include the game's saved file in its own backup (for example iCloud or Google backup, or a backup to a computer). That is controlled by Apple, Google and your device settings, not by us.
Contacting us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to help you. We delete support emails 6 months after we have answered them.
Our web pages. This policy, our terms and our support page are ordinary web pages. Our web server may keep basic server logs (such as the IP address, the time and the page requested) for security, for a short period. These pages use no cookies, trackers or analytics.
4. Adverts
The game is free to play and shows adverts to pay for the game. We use Unity LevelPlay, a service that works with several advertising companies (called ad networks). Here is exactly how we use it:
- Optional reward videos. A child can choose to watch a short video to earn bonus coins or to revive their squishy. They never have to.
- Adverts between levels. After a child has cleared some levels, an advert may be shown between levels. An advert between levels is never started while a level is being played; the only video that can appear during a level is the optional revive video, which plays only when the child chooses it. If a parent buys Remove Ads, the between-level adverts stop. Optional reward videos remain available.
- Set up for children. We tell LevelPlay and the ad networks that the game is directed to children under 13. In this mode the ads shown are not personalised: there is no personalised advertising and no tracking for advertising. They are not chosen using your child's behaviour or interests, and the game does not track your child across other apps and websites. The game does not show the App Tracking Transparency prompt and does not use or ask for the advertising ID.
- What the ad companies may still receive. To show an advert, count that it was shown, stop fraud, and limit how often an advert repeats, an ad network needs to connect to its servers from the device. Because of that, the ad companies may receive technical information from the device, such as its IP address, the type of device and operating system version, the app name and version, the language, and whether an advert was shown or clicked. What they receive and what they do with it is decided by them and described in their own privacy policies (linked in section 10); we do not control it and we do not receive that data. We do not give the ad companies any information about your child, because we do not have any. Tapping an advert can open a web page or the App Store, which the game cannot block.
- An advert quality tool. The ad service includes an "ad quality" component that is meant to check the adverts themselves for unsuitable content. It is part of the ad companies' software, and what it handles is described in their privacy policies (section 10). We have set the game to child-directed mode for the whole ad service.
- Their policies apply to what they do. The ad companies are responsible for how they handle data and for the adverts they show, under their own privacy policies and terms. They are linked in section 10, and the links always lead to their current text, so any change they make applies here as well. The ad service we use is Unity LevelPlay, with the ad networks Unity Ads and ironSource Ads (both part of Unity) enabled. If we enable another network, we will add it to this policy before the change goes live.
We cannot promise that no technical data ever reaches an ad company, because showing an advert needs a connection to its servers. We can promise that we have chosen the strictest child-directed settings available, and that we do not turn on personalised advertising.
5. Purchases
The game lets a grown-up buy coin packs, Remove Ads and a special squishy with real money.
- Every purchase is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not see or store card numbers, bank details, passwords or billing addresses.
- Before any purchase, and before the game opens a web link, the game asks a parental gate question that needs an adult's reading skills, so a young child cannot buy by accident.
- The store tells the game that a purchase went through, and the game saves that fact on the device, so it can give the item and let you restore purchases.
- We may see sales and download reports from Apple and Google. They show totals and countries, not who bought.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their rules (see the Terms of Use).
- You can use your device's parental controls too, for example Screen Time and Ask to Buy on Apple devices, or Family Link on Android.
6. Children's privacy (COPPA, GDPR and similar laws)
- United States (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The game has no accounts and asks for no personal information. The ad companies may receive limited technical data (section 4), such as a device identifier or IP address, which US law can treat as personal information in some cases. We have set the game to the child-directed mode, which tells the ad companies to treat the game as directed to children and not to use that data for personalised advertising or tracking. The ad companies are responsible for their own handling of that data (see their policies in section 10). If we ever learn that we have received personal information from a child, we will delete it.
- European Union and United Kingdom (GDPR and the UK Children's Code). The game itself does not collect or process personal data about children. Showing an advert, however, involves limited technical data such as an IP address, which these laws can treat as personal data. That data is handled by the ad companies under their own policies and their own responsibility, not by us. We have set the game to the child-directed mode, which is meant to prevent profiling and personalised advertising.
- Other countries. We aim to follow the child privacy laws wherever the game is offered. If you think the game does not meet the law where you live, please write to us.
We do not use your child's information to market to them and we do not sell it. We hold no information about your child to share; the only data the ad companies receive is the limited technical data described in section 4.
7. How long we keep things and how to delete them
- Game data on the device: it stays until you delete it. A parent can erase it in the app: open Settings, then Parents (it opens after the parental gate), and choose Delete Game Data. The game asks you to confirm and then restarts as new. You can also delete the app, which removes its saved data from the device.
- Copies in device backups: these are controlled by your device's backup settings. Delete the backup in your Apple, Google or computer backup settings if you want those copies gone.
- Emails to us: kept only as long as needed to help you, and deleted 6 months after we have answered. Ask us and we will delete them sooner.
- Data held by the ad companies and the app stores: we do not control it. See their policies (section 4 and 5).
8. Your rights and a parent's choices
A parent or guardian can:
- ask us what we hold about their child (we expect the answer to be nothing, apart from any emails the parent sent us)
- ask us to delete any email we hold
- stop adverts between levels by buying Remove Ads, and skip all optional reward videos
- turn off in-app purchases with the device's parental controls
- delete all game data in the app (section 7)
Depending on where you live, the law may give you more rights, for example to see, correct or delete personal data held about you or your child, or to object to its use. To use any right, email games@ntam.es. We may need to check you are the parent, using the email address you wrote from.
You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Security
The saved file lives in the app's private storage on the device, protected by the device's own security. We have no servers holding children's data. We do not build or use any online system for the game that stores your child's information. No system is perfectly secure, so keep your device up to date and use a passcode.
10. Links and third-party services
The game opens a web link (this policy, our terms, our support page) only after the parental gate. The pages and services they lead to have their own rules. The services built into the game are:
| Service | What it does | Who |
|---|---|---|
| App Store or Google Play in-app purchases | Processes purchases and restores them | Apple, Google |
| Unity IAP (a code library inside the app) | Talks to the store on the device so the game can offer purchases | Unity |
| Unity LevelPlay, with the ad networks Unity Ads and ironSource Ads | Shows the adverts, in child-directed mode | Unity Technologies (ironSource is part of Unity) |
| Unity engine | Runs the game on the device | Unity |
The privacy policies and terms of these services, which always show their current text:
- Unity (LevelPlay, Unity Ads, ironSource Ads, Unity IAP and the Unity engine): Privacy Policy https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy and Terms of Service https://unity.com/legal/terms-of-service
- Apple (App Store purchases): https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
- Google (Google Play purchases): https://policies.google.com/privacy
These companies, and not us, are responsible for the data they handle and for the adverts they show. If we add or change a service, we update this list and the policy first.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change the game in a way that affects privacy (for example a new service, or collecting new information), we will update this policy before the change goes live, change the "Last updated" date above, and describe what changed in the update notes of the app. If a change would need a parent's permission under the law, we will ask for it before we use the new information.
